What is worth writing about

A correction. Name the page and the specific claim. If the primary source contradicts what is written here, quote it or link it, because that settles the question immediately rather than starting a discussion about it.

A source that has moved or died. These pages link a lot of government documents and those documents relocate. A dead link reported here is worth more than it might seem: the fix is usually to find the surviving copy, and that gets recorded so nobody has to find it twice.

A dataset that deserves a method guide. The useful ones tend to share a shape. They are published by the body that collects the records, they document their own coding scheme, and they are widely cited by people who have not read the documentation. Suggestions along those lines are welcome.

Republishing. Quoting a paragraph with a link needs no permission. Reproducing an article whole is a different question, so ask first.

What will not get a useful answer

Questions about a specific legal problem. This publication does not practise law and cannot advise on anyone's situation, so a question of that kind will get a short reply suggesting a qualified practitioner rather than an answer.

Offers of paid placement, guest articles carrying commercial links, or content written to promote a product. Nothing here is for sale, including the links.

If you arrived looking for something specific and did not find it, the full index of research notes is the fastest way to see the whole scope at once.
